"Deacons likewise must be dignified, not double-tongued, not addicted to much wine, not greedy for dishonest gain. They must hold the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience. And let them also be tested first; then let them serve as deacons if they prove themselves blameless. Their wives likewise must be dignified, not slanderers, but sober-minded, faithful in all things. Let deacons each be the husband of one wife, managing their children and their own households well. For those who serve well as deacons gain a good standing for themselves and also great confidence in the faith that is in Christ Jesus."

In the early church (Acts 6) it was quickly recognized that the church needed special servants to attend to the physical of its members. Deacons, according to their Biblical calling, take leadership in making sure that the "nuts and bolts" of the congregation are being covered. Some will, for example, take care of the church's building, others will take care of the needy, still others will be church treasurers, etc. Our deacons are hardworking and dedicated.

These men have been selected by the congregation to serve as deacons. We are a growing family of believers so there are some vacancies to be filled. Please bear with us as we seek qualified men for these positions of service.
