Is Jesus Really The Son of God Video

There are said to be about 600 prophecies in the Old Testament about the Messiah to come. Each is important as it adds one more item of evidence to this incredible claim. But for the sake of brevity, let me point out a few important ones.

Jesus came at the right time — The prophet Daniel prophesied that the Messiah would come in the days of the Roman Empire (the fourth kingdom, 2:40-45). The prophet Malachi also gave us a time table saying that the Messiah would come shortly after the coming of a prophet, whose job it would be to “clear the way,” John the Baptist (3:1,2).

Jesus came during the window of time that was foretold by God’s word, but many people lived during that era. What other evidence is available? Jesus was in the right place. — Micah, the prophet, foretold that the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem, David’s hometown He, likewise, was from the right tribe (Judah), the right clan (Jesse), and the right family (David).. And Isaiah tells us that he would preach and teach in the Galilee region of Israel. But just because there was someone at the right time in history from the right family, it doesn’t make them the Messiah. But there’s more!!

Jesus had the right credentials.— No, I don’t mean the Father gave Him a badge or a Messiah’s license. The credentials of the Messiah was the signs and wonders that accompanied His work. Anyone can claim to be the Messiah (and a lot of people did) but not everyone can heal the sick, give sight to the blind, make the lame walk, cast out demons, and raise the dead! Disciples of John the Baptist one came looking for credentials from Jesus that He really was the Christ, the Son of God; Jesus answered them, "…Go and report to John what you hear and see: the BLIND RECEIVE SIGHT and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the POOR HAVE THE GOSPEL PREACHED TO THEM. And blessed is he who does not take offense at Me.” Matthew 11:4-6, NAS95. Of course, the greatest of the proofs was His resurrection after being crucified.

Jesus was the man at the right time, at the right place, with the right credentials. His claims of being the Son of God are valid and we need to lend an open ear and a submissive heart to Him.
